Floor tile is where installation quality shows most. You walk on it every day, and light from every window rakes across it. Lippage, uneven grout lines and hollow-sounding tiles all come from rushing the preparation.

What affects the price

Tile format, layout pattern and how much preparation the subfloor needs. Diagonal and herringbone layouts take longer because they generate more cuts and waste, and a floor that is out of level needs levelling first. Why Ontario floors need a membrane

Seasonal humidity swings move a plywood subfloor enough to crack tile bonded directly to it. An uncoupling membrane such as Schluter DITRA lets the two move independently. Over plywood, we treat it as standard, not as an upsell.

  I needed contractor with expertise to fix the many issues  I had from a prior renovation that started in January 2020. All that could go wrong did went wrong, and to avoid a repeat of these issues I spoke with many contractors. Some did not even wanted to touch the work, thought is was too complicated to fix, but Ultra Renovation didn’t hesitate. They reviewed the solutions with me, and their pricing was also quite reasonable compared to others. They surely didn’t disappoint. The kitchen backsplash one of my favourite tiles in the renovation is now a pleasure to look at. They fixed the stair, level and re-installed the flooring and replaced the backsplash and got it all done in time. Sometimes I can hardly believe the chaos is finally over. Thanks UltraReno.
